Public Health Forum to Address Tijuana Watershed Crisis

A Public Health Forum focused on healing and advocacy will take place on Saturday, October 5, in response to the Tijuana Watershed Pollution Crisis. The event will feature Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, known for her efforts during the Flint Water Crisis, and Paloma Aguirre, the Mayor of Imperial Beach, who advocates for affected frontline communities.
The forum will be held at Mendoza Elementary School, located at 2050 Coronado Avenue, San Diego, CA 92154. Doors will open at 9:00 AM. The schedule for the day is as follows:
- **9:30 AM - 11:30 AM**: A moderated discussion featuring Dr. Hanna-Attisha and Mayor Aguirre.
- **12:00 PM - 2:00 PM**: Lunch will be served along with advocacy art activities and well-being initiatives.
- **4:00 PM - 6:00 PM**: A forum at Balboa Park, specifically at the World Design Capitol Exchange, located outside the San Diego Art Museum, focusing on transboundary green infrastructure and nature-based solutions.
The event is free to attend, and light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Spanish translation services will be available throughout the day. Participants are encouraged to RSVP to reserve their space.
