In Jacksonville, Florida, the local sheriff's office is ramping up efforts to ensure safety in school zones. Traffic Officer Kristy Monroe is leading the charge, focusing on reducing speeding, distracted driving, and red-light violations. Monroe emphasizes the importance of protecting children and is actively enforcing traffic laws to enhance safety in these areas.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reported that there have been 130 traffic fatalities in the area this year, highlighting the need for both enforcement and education on traffic safety.
