The City of Peekskill said its cooling center policy will be in effect on Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The city will hold the cooling center in the Neighborhood Center Dining Room and will provide free WiFi for people seeking an air-conditioned environment.

The city said the library will be open during normal hours. The City Office of Emergency Management will also check that senior apartment building managers are taking appropriate measures.
