Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance, also referring to itself as PCVAC, shared its May newsletter and highlighted updates for members and the community.

The newsletter includes last month’s items: monthly call volume, a member spotlight, birthdays, and a congratulations to Sarah Scharf for becoming a cleared driver for Special Operations Truck 7506.

PCVAC also reported that it responded to 291 calls in May 2026. The group said that figure was an 11% increase compared with May 2025.

PCVAC thanked its Events Committee for putting together the newsletter so members and the community remain informed and connected.

Peekskill Cooling Center Hours Set for June 11-12

The City of Peekskill will operate a cooling center policy on June 11 and June 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Neighborhood Center Dining Room, offering free WiFi. The library will remain open during normal hours.
