Garden Club Hosts Westchester Gardens Presentation October 1

The Garden Club of Peekskill is hosting an event titled "Fabulous Gardens of Westchester" on Tuesday, October 1st at 7 p.m. The event will take place at the Peekskill Yacht Club, located at 1 Travis Point, Peekskill.
Barbara Davis, the director of the Westchester Historical Society, will be presenting at the event. She will discuss the history and design of various lavish estate gardens in the Westchester area. The presentation will be richly illustrated and will include images from both the past and present. Highlights will include the restored colonial gardens at the Jay family properties, the gilded age property of Lyndhurst, the Japanese Stroll Gardens in North Salem, and the Persian designs of Untermyer Park, among others.
