Keynote Discussion on Forest Regeneration Scheduled

A keynote discussion titled "How Do We Regenerate a Forest? Thinking With The Harrisons" will take place on November 12 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Central Library in San Diego. The event is part of the ongoing Helen & Newton Harrison: California Work exhibition.
The discussion starts at 6 PM in the 9th floor Shiley Special Events Suite. Doors will open at 5:30 PM, and attendees can participate in-person or watch on the San Diego Public Library's YouTube channel.
The panel will include several speakers:
- Josh Harrison, Director of the Center for the Study of the Force Majeure
- Dr. Megan Jennings, Conservation Ecologist, Climate Science Alliance advisor, and Co-Director of the SDSU Institute for Ecological Monitoring and Management
- Joelene Tamm, Squaxin Island Tribal member, Entomologist, Researcher, and Natural Resources Director of the La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians
- Wesley Ruise Jr., a third-generation Indigenous prescribed Burn Boss, Fire Chief, and tribal member of the La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians
- Ruth Wallen, an artist and long-time collaborator with the Harrisons
