**Volunteers Needed for Community Emergency Response Team Training in Hillsborough County**

Hillsborough County is currently seeking volunteers to join the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). This program focuses on disaster preparedness and helps participants learn essential disaster response skills, which can enhance community resilience.

The training will be held from November 21 to November 23, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Attendance for all three days is mandatory. The training will cover various components, including medical and fire response, teamwork, and communication skills. Continuous education and refresher courses will also be available for participants.

The training is limited to 30 seats, and interested individuals are encouraged to register as soon as possible. The location for the training will be at the Public Safety Operations Complex (PSOC) at 9450 E Columbus Dr., Tampa, Florida.

CERT volunteers play a crucial role in the community before, during, and after disasters by performing basic response activities. These activities include conducting neighbor checks, sharing important information with the public, supporting emergency operations, and managing crowds and traffic.
