Last week, three members of the Peekskill Music Department participated in the annual Westchester County School Music Association (WCSMA) Open House held in White Plains. The event allowed them to connect with other music educators from across Westchester County.

The WCSMA is responsible for overseeing the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA), as well as the All-State, Area All-State, and All-County music festivals in which Peekskill students participate.

The attendees from Peekskill included Andrew Richardson, Choral Director at Peekskill High School; Rebecca Quigley, Choral Director at Peekskill Middle School; and Jenny Gouker, a music teacher at Woodside Elementary School.
