Cornell's Annual Dump and Run Sale Draws Crowds
Staff Report / FLXlocal.org
Each fall, Cornell University in Ithaca hosts an annual event known as the Dump and Run sale, where students and local residents gather to purchase used items at reduced prices. The sale features a variety of items, including colorful sweaters, tank tops, baseball caps, winter coats, water bottles, pillows, bed sheets, and blankets.
The event takes place every August and is known for attracting large crowds, with lines sometimes extending almost the length of the mall. Proceeds from the sale are donated to charity.
Leah Becker, a student majoring in environmental engineering, expressed her enthusiasm for the sale, mentioning that she acquired all her dorm supplies there last year. This year, she has already purchased an organizer drawer, a shower caddy, and several pairs of socks.
