Peekskill, NY - A commendation took place yesterday during the Common Council meeting in the city of Peekskill, New York. Mayor McKenzie honored three heroes who stepped in to assist an individual in distress during a public event.

The incident occurred at the Senior Pool Party on July 30th. There, Johnathan Zamora, Elaine Jackson, and Savannah Cappelli acted swiftly and effectively to offer help to someone in need. Unfortunately, Cappelli was not present for the accolade ceremony.

Mayor McKenzie expressed appreciation for their acts with the presentation of proclamations in recognition of their timely intervention. The commendation underscored the valuable contribution to their community.

The proactive display of good citizenship by Zamora, Jackson, and Cappelli achieved recognition, serving as an affirmation to the City of Peekskill residents about the strength and unity within their community.
