Sarasota Habitat Donors Fund HVAC After Mold Damage
Sarasota County Habitat for Humanity thanked donors for supporting critical home repairs, saying the funding helped restore safe air quality for a local homeowner.
The organization said one homeowner had severe mold damage that spread into their HVAC system, creating unsafe air quality throughout the home. For safety, the homeowner stopped using their air conditioning and relied on open windows even during extreme Florida heat.
Habitat for Humanity said donor support allowed the homeowner to receive a new HVAC system and ductwork. The organization reported that the changes restored clean, safe air and “much-needed comfort.”
The homeowner shared their gratitude, saying, “Your help has given us a safe environment for our children, and it is truly appreciated.”
