San Jose Public Library Honors Inez Jackson With Card

The San Jose Public Library said it is partnering with the African American Community Service Agency to offer an “exclusive and new” library card honoring Mrs. Inez Jackson.

The library card celebrates the unveiling of Mrs. Jackson’s mural at the AACSA Center. The mural was created by artist Ian Young of Quiet Giant Design and in partnership with Local Color.

The library said the commemorative card will be available starting at AACSA’s 45th Annual Juneteenth in the Streets Festival this Saturday, June 13. The library said the cards will be available at the event’s library booth, and also at SJPL’s Bridge Library, located within AACSA, while supplies last.

The library said the event is free.
