**Sarasota Opens Sandbag Locations Ahead of Storm**

**Storm Update from Sarasota County Emergency Management**

On September 23, 2024, Sarasota County Emergency Management Chief Sandra Tapfumaneyi provided an update regarding a developing weather system in the Gulf of Mexico. The county is actively monitoring the situation as it unfolds.

To assist residents in preparation, sandbag operations will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 24-25, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The designated locations for sandbags are:

- Twin Lakes Park, 6700 Clark Road

- Ed Smith Stadium (parking lot), 2700 12th St.

- South County Fleet Services, 4571 SR 776/Englewood Road

There is a limit of 10 bags per vehicle for those collecting sandbags.
